My name is Greg. I've been an MG fan since I was a kid. I
have owned 2 TD's, an MGA coupe, a Midget and a 64 MGB.
The TD's were a lot
of fun for their style and simplicity but I avoided the
freeways for their lack of power. I put an MGA front and rear
end in one. It was a great improvement because it gave a better cruising speed
and came with wire wheels and disc brakes in front,
so it stopped better as well.
The MGB is the
best MG had to offer with better handling, speed and comfort. A
supercharged "B" is even better! The price is a tough pill to
swallow but you have to drive one to believe it.

This was my father's 51 MGTD which he later gave
to me. |

This is how Dad's old TD looked after I owned it a few
years. |
 |
This is the first MG I ever noticed. I must have
been 12 years old. |

 |
Farther down the road I restored another 51 TD |
 |
I was partial to the brown/tan scheme. The
wheels, brakes and rear end were MGA and it made a better
cruising and stopping TD |

These tripod headlamps were beautiful though illegal in Calif.
A sheriff stopped me one dark morning to tell me they were
illegal though I wasn't cited. He was an MGB owner here in town. |

As it
looked in 2006, this is the current MGB
"project" car. It was
converted to Weber carb, header,
Ansa free flow exhaust,
fast street cam ,
Mallory dual point distributor and aluminum flywheel.

This is the "after" pic.
Not ever really finished but the way it looks today 4/08.
Pictures don't always tell the story, it's quite a different car
now with a Moss supercharger. |
